Join our network Synchronised Walk for International Women’s Day!
Network members and friends, please join us for a synchronised walk wherever you are on Friday 8th March 2019.
Walk alone or with other women. Walk for your normal practice, or just to take up space. Walk carrying a placard or a button badge and make a statement. Celebrate yourself as a woman who walks.
Sonia will be joining a procession to mark International Women’s Day and the opening of the POW! (Power of Women) festival in Margate, Kent, UK. She will be carrying a placard on behalf of the network.
Please join in by walking and sharing your walk with the network account @womenwhowalknet on Twitter. You can use the hashtags #powthanet19 and #womenwhowalknet to share your walking thoughts or images.
UK members are welcome to join Sonia in the procession, which will leave Margate station at 5pm, ending at the Turner Contemporary for the festival opening. If you would like to come, please contact Sonia – there may be a sash for you!
